Notification filters and statuses

The notifications list usually includes filters that control what you see.

Common filters

• All: shows everything (except possibly archived, depending on your design)
• Unread: shows only notifications you haven’t read
• Read: shows notifications you’ve already opened/marked read
• Archived: shows notifications you archived

Why this matters

If you mark something as read while you’re viewing an Unread-only filter, it may disappear from the list — because it no longer matches the filter.
