Recipe basics: what each field is for

Zavora recipes are designed to be easy to write, easy to cook from, and easy to revisit later.

Common parts of a recipe

  • Title
A clear name you’ll recognize later (e.g., “Weeknight Chicken Stir Fry”).
  • Description / Notes (optional)
Helpful context: why you like it, substitutions, where it came from.
  • Servings (optional but recommended)
Useful for planning and future scaling.
  • Ingredients
One ingredient per line works best. Consistent formatting helps later features.
  • Steps / Instructions
Short, numbered steps make cooking easier.
  • Tags / Categories (if available in your UI)
Use these to make recipes easier to browse later.

Tips

  • Keep titles specific (“Banana Bread (No Mixer)” beats “Banana Bread”).
  • Put important timing and temperatures in steps.
  • If you cook it often, add a short note like “Double the sauce.”
